IGCC/IGMA CERTIFIED AT FACTORY-DIRECT PRICES

NEDEX offers factory-direct one-stop IG component sourcing for sustainable supply-chain savings (spacers, sealants, sieves) to the North American market (via Glasslam). In fact, approx. 250,000,000 square meters of glass are produced a year which contain components from our supplier. NEDEX operate mines local to their factories in NATO country Turkey, that secure their supply indefinitely, and acts as a bridge between Europe and Asia.

EcoSieve™ molecular sieve features: Very low gas desorption values, High water adsorption capacity, Granulation without broken particles, Zero dust content, and are IGCC/IGMA Reviewed and Listed.

Aluminum Spacer and Plastic Hybrid Warm Edge Spacers are for IGU with specs to EN 1279:2018 & ASTM E2190. Annual capacity exceeds 100 million meters of aluminum and 60 million meters of warm edge.

Polysulfide based outer sealants KU-83 and PS-018 are for IG with specs according to EN 1279:2018 & ASTM E2190, as with their primary sealant PIB-996 and hotmelt secondary sealant Meltex with very low MVTR.

YOUR ECO-FRIENDLY 3A DESICCANT

NEDEX's flagship desiccant, NANOMOL (EcoSieve™) is calcium-oxide based, which is more cost-effective, energy-saving and non-polluting. Calcium-oxide production is a completely dry process, and no wastewater is discharged. In comparison, zeolite based desiccant produces 20 tons of waste water for every ton of desiccant, polluting our planet.

And NANOMOL (EcoSieve™) costs less than standard zeolite dessicant.

Key Features:

  • Very low gas desorption values

  • Very high water adsorption capacity

  • Granulation without broken particles and

  • Zero dust content

  • Zero wastewater (no environmental impact)

Nedex molecular sieve NANOMOL (EcoSieve™) is a mixture of calcium oxide containing natural desiccants and natural binders. The product is designed for a static water adsorption process with very low adsorption speed.

NANOMOL (EcoSieve™) is an adsorbent for insulating glass units with specifications according to ASTM E2190 (IGCC/IGMA).

With an optimized density it can reach very good water adsorption capacity in a specific volume. It has no chemical reactions to aluminium, steel, galvanized steel and plastics.

SPACER

NEDEX GROUP produces a wide variety of insulating glass spacers (in both of Aluminum and Plastic Hybrid). Servicing the varied requirements of fabricators around the world, NEDEX produces more than 300 million feet of aluminum spacers and 100 million feet of plastic spacers yearly. Insulating glass spacer bars are designed depending on the demands of glass manufacturers.

NEDEX is also producing corner keys for its spacer bars and recommend the use of them together. NEDEX aluminium spacers and warm edge spacers are for Insulating Glass Units with specifications according to EN 1279:2018 and ASTM E2190 (IGCC/IGMA).

ALUMINUM SPACERS

Aluminum spacers are made for cut & plug applications, with plastic corner connectors and for machine bending with metallic straight connectors. The thickness of the aluminum materials varies from 0,18 mm for lower thermal conductivity and cost efficiency to 0,35 mm for bendability and strength.

There are different sizes of aluminum spacers with a nominal width of 6 mm to 24 mm. The standard lengths of the aluminum spacers are 3 m, 5 m and 6 m. Other lengths are optional on request. Name, date and imprint are available.

In addition, if required, NEDEX can produce colored spacers in many colors using powder coating technology. A minimum of oil is required for chemicals to adhere better to aluminum spacers.

The tightness of weld seams and the functionally of the perforation holes are under constant control along the production lines. The end products are solvent free and volatile tests are carried out in the laboratory continuously. NEDEX ALUMINIUM SPACERS are for Insulating Glass Units with specifications according to EN1279:2018 and ASTM E2190 (IGCC/IGMA).

(NANOBAR) WARM-EDGE SPACERS

NEDEX warm edge spacers (NANOBAR) have lowest Σλd- and Ψ-values. NANOBAR has maximum number of perforation holes for a better IGU performance. NEDEX warm edge spacers can be produced in widths between 8-24 mm. Their stability and material specifications make their processing in bending lines possible. They can even be installed in IG units, which are under extreme external loads.

Improved energy efficiency and very good thermal properties. Metallic and nonmetallic coatings at the backside of warm edge spacers guarantee perfect tightness against water vapour and argon permeation. Surfaces which are in contact with sealants have very good adhesion to sealants.

NEDEX warm edge spacers have high UV stability, scratch resistancy of surfaces and low heat expansion coefficients. NEDEX warm edge spacers are produced in fully automatic lines with raw materials which are very high UV fogging-free. It leads to reduced risk of condensation and mould formation in the edge area, with perfect appearance.

NANOBAR warm edge spacers are for Insulating Glass Units with specifications according to EN 1279:2018 and ASTM E2190 (IGCC/IGMA).

SEALANTS

KU-83 and PS-018

NEDEX insulating glass sealant KU-83 and PS-018 are both a 2-component, solvent-free, polysulfide adhesive / adhesive. The rheological properties of the product make it suitable for manual and robot processing. Both KU-83 and PS-018 adheres to glass, aluminium, galvanized steel and stainless steel without the use of a primer.

POLYSULFIDE SEALANTS (KU-83 and PS-018)

NEDEX produces polysulfide based sealants named KU-83 and PS-018 in multiple manufacturing sites across Europe. In a single year NEDEX produces approximately 60,000,000 pounds of polysulfide sealant in 7 manufacturing facilities.

NEDEX polysulfide sealant is produced to be used in insulating glasses. It has very low permeability to water and gas and has very advanced chemical properties.

Polysulfide sealants are recommended to be mixed with a volumetric ratio of 10:1 for A and B components. NEDEX polysulfide-based outer sealants KU-83 and PS-018 are for Insulating Glass Units with specifications according to EN 1279:2018 and ASTM E2190.

Key Features:

  • Very low gas and water vapor permeability

  • High adhesion to glass and lath

  • Long machinability time

  • Short curing time

PRIMARY SEALANT (PIB-996)

NEDEX manufactures solvent-free primary sealant PIB-996 based on polyisobutylene for the insulated glass industry. The formulations have been specially developed to achieve very low gas and water vapor penetration rates. The products are compatible with secondary sealants.

PIB-996 has very good adhesion to glass and metal. The effect of heat leads to significant softening of primary sealants. However, PIB-996 show good stability even at temperatures around 100°C and do not come out of their position and flow into the space between the chambers.

PIB-996 is also certified according to EN1279-4:2018. Both have excellent low volatility values. They can be used without restrictions in the production of insulated glass units according to EN1279:2018 with successful tests and certificates.
